Uncle Bob is a bit of a jokester. When Mike goes into Jason's office - where Bob spend the night - to spray him with whipped cream, to get Uncle Bob back for spraying Mike with shaving cream for the past four morning, Mike finds he passed away during the night. After the funeral the Seaver get back to the house and have what Uncle Bob called the 'remembering session', whom he would lovingly refer to as "The dearly defunct". Maggie recalls when she was a little girl, she wanted to be a dancer because Uncle Bob took her to her very first ballet. Carol remembers when she had her appendix taken out and Uncle Bob brought her one in a jar and told her not to worry cause he knew how to put it back in. Ben liked how much fun it was when Uncle Bob would make Mike lose. Mike remembers a poker saying "deuces, jacks, man with an ax. Pair of natural sevens takes all". Jason recalls that Thanksgiving when Uncle Bob brought the whole turkey out and put it in front of old Aunt Doris, and said, "You go ahead and start. Ours will be out in a minute". When Mike gets up during the night to get a drink, he sees Uncle Bob running through the kitchen. The next day he believes it was all a dream, until Maggie mentions the spilt buttermilk all over the floor. That night Mike doesn't want to go to bed and keeps his family up to midnight playing games. Mike tells Jason about seeing Uncle Bob and he suggests Mike to talk to him to see why he is seeing him. Mike goes to the kitchen, and when Uncle Bob turns up again, Mike convinces Uncle bob that he's dead. When Mike doesn't want Uncle Bob to go he says Mike can remember him, and that he is apart of Mike. Mike and Uncle Bob say goodbye to each other, hug and Uncle Bob gives Mike his towel. Then Uncle Bob runs towards the back door and disappears. The next morning Mike still has Uncle Bob's towel.
